GAL NFT galleries - ongoing

GAL is a collection of 9 virtual galleries, each displaying a unique spatiality. The virtual galleries are the new meeting point for artists, curators and collectors for displaying NFT art. GAL aims at the creation of a new typology of exhibition space that reflects the specificity of NFTs, but also challenges the idea of the gallery itself ; in contrast with the limitations and homogeneity of physical gallery spaces, the GAL galleries create a new precedent for the future of NFTs virtual experience. GAL galleries are designed following a typical metal extrusion process. The profiles, faces of the gallery, are drawn using typical elements of architecture drawings like walls, arches, columns or stairs. The faces are then extruded to create 3 dimension spaces. Each gallery is the result of the combination of diverse architectural elements displayed like a floor plan, aiming to create a sensible 3D experience when extruded. The GAL galleries are purchasable individually, but are made to be stacked and joined to create a bigger gallery in many configurations. Each gallery has a spheric connector in the center, the heart of the gallery, inspired by the central fireplace in modern houses. The connector is also a void, a communication point where events and meetings can be held. GAL galleries is the heterotopia of NFT art, it is the “other” space, a space that holds toughts, meaning, desires and concepts that define the era of NFTs.  -Text by Loucas Braconnier
